Introduction

Well - this is the start of something I have wanted to do for sometime now. I thought that once I got my little home based cookie business up and running - I would create a blog about me as a cookie creator, experimenting with new cookie recipes and what I'm interested in. So where do I start?

Well, my cookie business is called Creations Chez Monique. It is only within the last year that I have tried to expand via creative avenues. I have attended wedding shows here in my home town of Calgary Alberta and Christmas Markets. I have been doing cookies from home for about 6 years and all business was word of mouth. I specialize in Gourmet Shortbread but am thinking of adding other varieties of cookies to my menu. This will be especially helpful for the cookie buffets I do. Something that has really taken off with my business is edible picture cookies. A great novelty sweet gift for any occasion. So as I move forward I will attempt to keep up on my blogging and add pictures of my successes and failures. For now - I will post some pictures of things I have done with cookies, mostly from the wedding shows I have attended in 2011 and 2012 and if you would like to see more, just check out the gallery on my website www.creationschezmonique.co.
